About Me

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and psychotherapist specializing in individual, couple and family therapy. In addition to my work in private practice, I worked for 9 years at a family service agency as a clinician and a family life educator. From 2006 to 2013 I also provided social work consultation at a pre-k through 8th grade private school in Chicago.

With over 20 years experience as a therapist, and as a graduate of Loyola University Chicago specializing in mental health, I am currently working with a broad spectrum of adolescent and adult clients. Among my areas of expertise are: treating anxiety and depression; parenting support; assisting clients with life transition issues related to experiences such as loss, separation and divorce, job loss, and young adult and midlife transitions; grief counseling; premarital counseling; working with parents who have children with special needs; relationship issues; and stress management. I previously trained and worked as an attorney in the Chicago area before continuing my education and changing my career path. I am passionate about my work as a therapist and my warm and supportive style helps my clients to quickly feel comfortable and ready to engage in therapy.

I am an active participant in therapy whose therapeutic approach is to provide a safe environment, support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. I integrate complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, I work with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.
